The predictors were built using the following datasets in FASTA format:
Taxon | Initial methionine removal | N-terminal acetylation |
---|---|---|
Homo Sapiens | hsa_ime | hsa_acet |
Metazoa | meta_ime | meta_acet |
Eukaryota | euk_ime | euk_acet |
The construction of these datasets is described in the original paper. All ambiguities and redundancies are removed as explained in the paper. In the sequences for the N-terminal Acetylation datasets, initial methionine is removed when needed.
In each file the header is at the following format:
>access_number PTM:x
where access_number
is the Uniprot/KB primary access number, PTM
indicates the relevant post-translational modification (IME or ACET) and x
indicates the occurence of the PTM (y or n).
